The deceased is 41-year-old Nigel Williams, an electrical contractor from Whitehouse in Westmoreland.

The JCF said: “Reports are that, about 8:10pm, the two [victims] were sitting in a parked Nissan motor car when a man armed with a handgun approached them and opened gunfire, hitting them several times.

“The police were called and they were assisted to hospital, where Williams was pronounced dead and the woman admitted in stable condition,” added the JCF, which stated that the Montego Hills Police are investigating.
