LLUIDAS VALE: Masked gunmen wound resident during robbery

Residents of Lluidas Vale in St Catherine are expressing shock and fear following an incident in which three masked gunmen reportedly kicked open the door to a house, tied up the male occupant, and inflicted wounds to his feet and face while they demanded money from him.

The crime unfolded a few hours before daybreak on Monday, May 20, in a section of the community known as Rectory.

Details of the crime are sketchy and the victim – a sound engineer for Exclusive and Fiba Power sound systems – is reportedly tight lipped about the incident because he fears for his life.

Residents said the incident apparently happened after the victim returned from a Sunday Sip party he had helped to promote. He also played a sound system at the said party.

It appears the gunmen thought he had Sunday Sip proceeds in his possession.
