Police charge ‘Hot Head’ for illegal gun

The Allman Town Police yesterday arrested and charged a man in connection with the seizure of a Glock pistol as well as 14 rounds of ammunition on Anderson Road, Kingston 4.

The accused is 22-year-old Javoughn Hanson, otherwise called ‘Hot Head’, from Anderson Road and Cumberland in St Catherine.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said: “Reports are that, about 9:20pm, officers were on patrol in the area when Hanson was accosted, searched and the firearm – with the ammunition, was found [allegedly] in a bag he was carrying. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.”

Investigations are continuing, added the JCF.
