Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that killed two persons and injured four others at East Heroes Circle in the vicinity of Regent Street, Kingston 8, last night, September 28.

The motorcar ploughed into the group of people who were standing along the roadway, said the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

The deceased are 17-year-old Shanedee Farquharson and 29-year-old Tarick Dawkins, both from Kingston 8.

The JCF said: “Reports are that, about 11:20pm, a driver of a motorcar allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the group of persons who were standing beside the roadway.

“All six persons were taken to hospital where Farquharson and Dawkins succumbed to their injuries. The other four were admitted in serious but stable condition,” added the JCF.

It said the motorcar allegedly involved in the incident was found later crashed on Smith Lane, Kingston.

“Investigators are now searching for the owners, and are appealing for the driver that was involved in the incident to turn himself in at the Allman Town Police Station immediately,” the JCF further said.

It added that anyone with information about the incident should call detectives at 876-922-2842, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station. Persons may also use the Stay Alert application.
