Bus kills pedestrian in Kingston

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said 33-year-old Kemar Williams from Last Street, Kingston 14, died as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Spanish Town Road last night, January 22.

It said: “Reports from the Denham Town Police are that, about 10:30pm, the driver of a Toyota Hiace mini-bus was travelling along the road to downtown Kingston when, on reaching a section of the roadway, Williams allegedly ran into the path of the bus and was hit. He was rushed to hospital where he died whilst undergoing treatment.”

Investigations are continuing, the JCF noted.
