Man charged for ‘stone’ murder in St Ann

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a man has been charged in relation to the murder of a sanitation worker, who was drunk at the time he was hit with a stone at Salem in St Ann on June 10.

The injured man died in hospital on July 3.

He is 24-year-old sanitation worker Kavon Fullerton, otherwise called Scappy, from Hampstead district in Runaway Bay, St Ann.

The man charged with murder is 29-year-old mason Raymar Harding, otherwise called Dada, from Salem in Runaway Bay.

The JCF said: “Reports from the Runaway Bay police are that Fullerton became intoxicated and allegedly got into a fight with another man.

“The man hit him (Fullerton) with a stone and went further to pick up a concrete block to hit him but was stopped. Fullerton was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, July 3,” the JCF further said.

It added that investigations are ongoing.
