Foetus found in garbage bin

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a foetus has been found wrapped in a brown paper bag inside a garbage bin on Kings Street in Kingston.

Reports from the Central Police are that, about 7:30pm on Thursday, October 4, a resident stumbled upon the foetus and summoned the police.

“The fetal remains were found wrapped in a brown paper bag inside a garbage bin. The remains were removed to hospital pending post mortem examination,” added the JCF.

It said anyone with information that can assist in the investigation should contact the Central Police at 922-8860, police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
