The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said 23-year-old painter Leondo Jarrett, otherwise called ‘Dio’, has been charged with robbery as well as illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

He is from Time and Patience district in Linstead, St. Catherine.

The JCF has not disclosed full details of the incident that it said happened at Hope Gardens in St Andrew.

“Reports are that, about 5:45PM on Wednesday, November 6, Jarrett allegedly held a man at gunpoint, robbing him of a camera and cellular phone,” the JCF said.

It added that Jarrett was charged after being positively identified on an Identification Parade.

Jarrett is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Gun Court on Friday, November 22.
