Cop arrested for suspected larceny of motor vehicle
June 13, 2018The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said it has arrested one of its constables who is being investigated in relation to the offence of Reasonable Suspicion of Larceny of Motor Vehicle.
It said reports are that, about 7:30am on Monday (June 11), the owner of a motor vehicle realized that it was missing from an address in Kingston.
The owner made a report to Rollington Town Police Station and an investigation was launched immediately.
“The motor car was found in the constable’s possession in Trelawny,” said the JCF. “He was taken into custody. However, his identity has been withheld pending further investigation.”
The JCF further stated that the Inspectorate of Constabulary is jointly investigating the matter.
