When Tashai Scott attained perfect grades in 10 CSEC subjects three years ago, she made an unequivocal statement about her ability to achieve greatness.

That greatness continued over the next two years when she sat her CAPE exams in sixth form at St Jago High School in Spanish Town, St Catherine.

During those just-concluded sixth form years, the young scholar attained 9 Grade One (the highest possible grade) and 2 Grade Two in CAPE.

Both CSEC and CAPE are administered by the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC), which has announced that Scott attained the following CAPE results:

– Biology (Unit 1) Grade One
– Biology (Unit 2) Grade One

– Chemistry (Unit 1) Grade One
– Chemistry (Unit 2) Grade One

Communication Studies – Grade Two

– Physics (Unit 1) Grade Two
– Physics (Unit 2) Grade One

Caribbean Studies – Grade One

– Economics (Unit 1) Grade One
– Economics (Unit 2) Grade One

– Management of Business (Unit 1) Grade One

The Spanish Town native, who was heavily involved in extra-curricular activities at St Jago High, wants to become a medical doctor.

She isn’t sure which university she will attend, but she told The Beacon that she has received ‘multiple offers of admission from different universities across the globe’.

Scott has expressed gratitude to God, teachers, friends, and relatives – including her mother Yvette Scott and father Gladwin Scott.

She was a senior prefect at St Jago High.
