ST ANN: Security guard charged for illegal gun
March 14, 2019The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said its officers in St Ann arrested and charged a security guard for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition yesterday, March 13.
The accused is 31-year-old Christopher Bennett from Roadside district in the parish.
The JCF said: “Reports from the St Ann’s Bay Police are that, about 7:10PM, lawmen were on operation in the area when Bennett was accosted and searched. A .40 Taurus pistol and 51 assorted rounds of ammunition were [allegedly] found in his possession, and he was arrested and subsequently charged.”
His court date is being finalized.
