ST ANN: Man arrested for gun found

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said its officers found an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition yesterday, April 13, at Brown’s Town in St Ann.

It added that a man was taken into custody.

The JCF said: “Reports are that, about 10:30PM, investigators on operation intercepted a motor vehicle in a parking lot on Main Street in the parish which was subsequently searched and the weapon – a .45 pistol loaded with five .45 rounds of ammunition – was found.”

The investigation is ongoing, added the JCF, which said the identity of the man nabbed is being withheld pending further investigations.
