The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said its detectives assigned to the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigations Branch have charged seven Westmoreland men for alleged membership in criminal organizations; some also face murder-related charges.

The men, who were nabbed during a joint police/military operation at Kings Valley in Westmoreland on October 10, were interviewed. They also faced identification parades in the presence of their attorneys before being formally charged yesterday, November 2.

THEY ARE:

Twenty year-old Romaro McKenniso, otherwise called Ratty or Bud Pickney, from Kings Valley. He is charged with being part of a criminal organization, facilitating the commission of various offences by a criminal organization, illegal possession of firearm, and murder.

Twenty-nine year-old Derval Williams, otherwise called Lukie or Flex, from Kings Valley. He is charged with being part of a criminal organization, facilitating the commission of various offences by a criminal organization, and conspiracy to murder.

Twenty-five year-old Christon Grant, otherwise called Bobby or Echoy, from Peggy Barry. He is charged with being part of a criminal organization, facilitating the commission of various offences by a criminal organization, and conspiracy to murder.

Thirty-two year-old Hopeton Sankey, otherwise called Leadda or Bigga, from Kings Valley. He is charged with being part of a criminal organization.

Fifty-one year-old Ricky Hall, otherwise called Bad Wata, from Peggy Barry. He is charged with being part of a criminal organization, facilitating the commission of various offences by a criminal organization, and knowingly providing a benefit to a criminal organization.

Thirty-one year-old Carlington Godfrey, otherwise called Tommy, from Kings Valley. He is charged with being part of a criminal organization, and facilitating the commission of various offences by a criminal organization.

Twenty-one year-old Lindell Powell, otherwise called Lazarus, from Kings Valley. He is charged with being part of a criminal organization and participating in the commission of various offences by a criminal organization.

The accused men are to appear in the Home Circuit Court on Thursday, November 8.
