Security supervisor, other man to spend years in prison for cocaine
June 19, 2018Two men from St James have been sent to prison for cocaine-related charges after they were found guilty yesterday, June 18.
They are 53-year-old security supervisor from Anchovy in the parish Owen Glaze, and 39-year-old Andrew Brown who is an auto-mechanic from Lilliput.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said the two were found guilty in the St James Parish Court in relation to Possession of Cocaine, Dealing In Cocaine, and Trafficking Cocaine.
On the charges of Dealing In Cocaine and Trafficking Cocaine, the court admonished and discharged both men.
They were however fined JA$500,000 or three months imprisonment on the charge of Possession of Cocaine.
The JCF further said one of the men was ordered to serve three years imprisonment while the other was ordered to serve three years and nine months.

Glaze and Brown were arrested during an operation on Mount Carey main road in St James on April 20, 2013.
The police said they seized cocaine weighing approximately 66 kilograms, which was estimated to have a street value of JA$254 million.
