Scoring the best grade possible in nine CSEC subjects during a single sitting is not a simple feat.

But Regina Wynter has done it!

Preliminary results from the Caribbean Examination Council show that the native of Pusey district in Point Hill, St Catherine, reaped the following success:

English A – Grade One
English B (Literature) – Grade One

Mathematics – Grade One

Biology – Grade One
Chemistry – Grade One

Physics – Grade One

Food and Nutrition – Grade One

Spanish – Grade One
Information Technology – Grade One

Additional Math – Grade Two

Regina, who hopes to become a medical doctor, will attend Sixth Form at her school – Immaculate Conception High.

“I am truly elated, yet humbled and grateful to God for His favour. I am also very lucky to have the support of my family, teachers and friends who really motivated me to continue when the pressure seemed great,” the young scholar told The Beacon.

Her main sources of motivation are her parents Rudolph and Melvina Wynter.

“My daughter made the Honour Roll at her school every year,” noted Mrs Wynter, who is also a teacher.

Regina, in the meantime, is a member of her school’s prefect council, Red Cross club, and Honour Society. She worships at the Duxes Seventh Day Adventist Church in Point Hill.
