Jhoyvan Williams said his academic success is attributable to ‘excellent’ teachers, as well as to his dedication to studying and paying keen attention in classes at Charlemont High School in Linstead, St Catherine.

The native of Moneague, St Ann, was successful in the 8 CSEC subjects he sat this year, attaining the highest grade possible (Grade One) in all of them.

“I didn’t expect to score all Grade Ones,” Williams told The Beacon.

“I am pleased with the results; ecstatic actually.”

Williams, who wants to become a chemical engineer, said he intends to attend sixth form at Charlemont High School.

He is a past-student of Mount Waddy Primary School in Moneague.

According to preliminary results from the Caribbean Examination Council, Williams achieved the following subjects and grades:

Mathematics – Grade One
Principles of Accounts – Grade One

Information Technology – Grade One

English A – Grade One
English B (Literature) – Grade One

Physics – Grade One

Biology – Grade One
Chemistry – Grade One

Williams also attained straight ‘A’ profiles in all subjects, except Biology and Physics, which each includes a ‘B’.

In total, the young scholar scored two ‘B’ profiles and a whopping 21 ‘A’.

He participated in track and field at school; his parents are Rose McDonald and Glen Williams.

“I am feeling really good and excited about my son’s results,” the mother told The Beacon.
