The resort town of Ocho Rios in St Ann is likely to benefit from a new relationship formally formed with authorities in the town of Ostroda, Poland.

Chairman of the St Ann Municipal Corporation Micheal Belnavis, who was among members of a Jamaican delegation in Poland, signed the agreement that officially twinned the two towns.

The signing took place on July 6 at Malbork Castle, Poland.

“This twinning agreement will see diplomatic relations in local governance being forged between Ostroda and Ocho Rios, making way for regular exchanges in culture, tourism and sports as well as a mutual exchange of representatives of local government and the adoption of best practices – among other things,” the municipal corporation said.
