Man shot in the head nabs gunman who commits murder

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a male victim was shot dead, while another was shot and wounded before he disarmed the attacker, at Reach district in Portland yesterday, July 30.

The suspect, along with a 9 millimetre Berretta pistol and two magazines containing twenty-one 9 millimetre cartridges, was handed over to the police.

The dead man is 28-year-old Ryan Sinclair from Reach district.

The JCF explained: “Reports from the Port Antonio Police are that, about 4:15pm, both men were patrons at a shop when the assailant entered, allegedly ordered cigarettes, then opened gunfire at them.

“Sinclair was shot multiple times while the injured man received gunshot wound to the head. The injured man managed to disarm their attacker and summon the police,” the JCF further said.
