The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has told Jamaica Beacon that 22-year-old Triston Wilks from Kellits in Clarendon has been charged with murder.

He is in police custody, and is scheduled to make his first appearance before the St Andrew Parish Court today, July 16.

Triston is accused of inflicting several stab wounds to his half-brother, Akeem Wilks, during a dispute at a house on Glasspole Avenue in Kingston 2.

Akeem lived at the location with his mother for many years, the Jamaica Beacon understands.

His younger brother, Triston, left Clarendon to live with him in Kingston just over a year ago.

The late Akeem returned home from work on July 4 and saw the accused allegedly with some of his belongings.

A dispute started between the two.

The Rockfort police said Akeem, who was stabbed several times to the upper body, ran from the house where the incident started and collapsed on the roadway in the community.

Residents took him to hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. He was a 23-year-old father of three children ages five, three, and two years.
