The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said detectives are probing the circumstances surrounding a shooting and subsequent arson on Windsor Avenue in May Pen, Clarendon.

“Reports from the May Pen police are that, about 2:30am [today, July 2], residents who occupied a seven bedroom dwelling were awakened by armed men who lit the house and then opened fire at them.”

“The police and the fire department were alerted and cooling down operations carried out. The house was completely destroyed and the occupants of the house escaped unhurt. The loss is estimated to be JA$7 million,” added the JCF.
