Jamaican singer Dalton Harris will today make his bid for a spot in the final of the X Factor UK after making it into the competition’s top four.
Harris, who advanced on Saturday with a rendition of Feeling Good, had a fainting spell on stage when his progress was announced. He apparently had to be caught in order to not fall to the floor. Harris’ feet similarly gave way last weekend when he became aware that he had reached the semi-finals.

Harris’ performance yesterday elicited – as is now customary, a standing ovation from all four judges – Simon Cowell, Robbie Williams, Louis Tomlinson and Ayda Williams.
“You are not only a star; I think you could be an absolute mega star,” Robbie told the Jamaican.
Chief judge, Cowell, described the performance as a ‘game changer’.
Harris’ mentor, Tomlinson, made it known that the artiste again made him proud. “You are a star; you deserve to be in the final and you could win this,” he said while noting that the judges have to struggle to make their comments as a result of the prolonged cheers and chants that followed Harris’ performance.
The contestants eliminated on Saturday are Brendan Murray and Danny Tetley. One more will today be blocked from entering the final.
In addition to Harris, the contestants making the competition’s top 4 are Scarlett Lee, duo Acacia and Aaliyah, and Anthony Russell.
