Cops identify man beheaded, other shot dead in Central Village

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has released the names of two men who have been murdered in the Zambia area of Central Village, St Catherine.

They are 25-year-old Darlon Gomez otherwise called Truck Back who was shot dead, and 30-year-old Bryan Mitchell otherwise called OG who was shot and also beheaded.

Both of the deceased are from Webster Boulevard in Zambia, Central Village.

The JCF, in relation to the body first discovered, stated that, about 11:50pm on February 8, a team of officers responded to calls from residents who reported hearing gunshots.

“The team responded and found the body of a man with gunshot wounds lying on a refrigerator at a shop on Wellington Drive in the community. The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue,” the JCF said.

Meanwhile, the police stated that, hours later, Mitchell’s head was seen along Mandela Highway.

“The police were summoned and, on their arrival, the human head was found. Further investigations revealed the headless body under a scrapped abandoned vehicle. The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue,” the JCF further said, adding that investigations are ongoing into both murders.
