Body of medical doctor found in pond at UWI

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said investigations are ongoing into the discovery of a body on the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI) in St Andrew this morning, February 4.

The deceased is 69-year-old Judith Rose-Spencer, a medical doctor from Great House Boulevard in Mona.

The JCF said: “Reports are that the body was seen submerged in a pond located in the vicinity of the UWI Chapel about 7:45am. The area was subsequently cordoned off, and crime scene detectives processed the scene and removed the body from the pond. The body was taken to the morgue where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.”
