In relation to the latter discovery, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said the decomposing body of 11-year-old Trisha Morris was found in her community of Woodland district, Hanover, yesterday, April 30.

It explained: “Detectives from the Sandy Bay Police Station reported that Trisha was last seen Saturday, April 28, and was subsequently reported missing on April 29. An investigation was launched and, about 10AM, residents saw the body of Trisha and alerted the police.

“On arrival of lawmen, the decomposing body was seen and removed to the morgue pending a post mortem examination,” added the JCF.

Although the JCF is confirming that Trisha was reported missing on April 29, no public alert about the child’s disappearance was made.
