4 high-powered guns, explosives, gun parts found in Tivoli

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said law enforcers seized four high-powered guns, several gun parts and other illegal items in the Bumps area of Tivoli Gardens, Western Kingston, about 3pm today, November 1.

It said the seizure was made while members of the security forces carried out operations as part of the State of Public Emergency in Western Kingston.

According to the JCF, the items seized are:

Two AR 15 rifles

One AK 47 rifle

One Winchester rifle

Fifty-four 5.56 rounds of ammunition

Four .38 rounds of ammunition

Eleven sticks of explosives

Several gun parts

Six empty magazines

Three persons were arrested in connection with the find, the JCF said, adding that the identities of the people detained are being withheld pending further investigations.
