2 murder victims found floating in Dallas river, St AndrewJanuary 21, 2019
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said its investigators in Papine, St Andrew, have commenced a probe into the death of two unidentified men who were found floating in the Dallas river yesterday, January 20.
Its Corporate Communication Unit said the men were murdered, but did not specify how.
The JCF said both men are believed to be in their mid-twenties.
“One of the victim is of dark complexion, medium build, and is about 182 centimetres (6 feet) tall. He sported a beard, and has vitiligo at the right side of his left eye. He was clad in a yellow T-shirt, dark coloured shorts, and a pair of white and blue Adidas shoes,” the JCF said.
“The other man is of dark complexion, medium build, and is about 182 centimetres (6 feet) tall. He sported a low cut hairstyle. He was clad in dark coloured jeans and a pair of brown shoes.”
The JCF said reports are that, about 7am yesterday, citizens stumbled upon the bodies partially submerged and called the police.
“On the arrival of the lawmen, the bodies were removed from the water and taken to the morgue,” added the JCF, which also made a public appeal for help in identifying the victims.
“Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the victims, and is urging anyone that may have information about this crime to contact the Papine Police at (876) 927-2047, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station,” the JCF said.
