Bodies found in Dallas river identified | cops appeal for info about murders

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has released the identities of the two men whose bodies were found floating in Dallas river in St Andrew on Sunday, January 20.

They are 25-year-old Akiele Davis from Lydford Housing Scheme in St Ann, and 25-year-old Reynold Kerr from Montego Bay in St James and Arcadia in Kingston 8.

The JCF said reports are that, about 7 o’clock on Sunday morning, citizens stumbled upon the bodies partially submerge and called the police.

Law enforcers later removed them from the water.

The JCF, in the meantime, appealed for public help as its detectives try to make a breakthrough. It said: “The police are urging anyone who may have information about this crime to contact the Papine Police at (876) 927-2047, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.”

Both victims, who allegedly were robbed and murdered, are past-students of Munro College in St Elizabeth.

It is said that one was in university up to the time of his demise while the other recently graduated from university.
