Akeem Wilks, who was murdered allegedly by his younger half brother Triston Wilks, will be laid to rest tomorrow, August 5, the family said.
Funeral service for the 23-year-old will take place at mid-day inside Life’s Tabernacle – not far from Rockfort Police Station, Kingston.
Interment will follow at Dovecot Memorial Park.
Akeem, who originally is from Top Hill district in St Catherine North West, lived for many years at Glasspole Avenue in Kingston 2 with his mother.
He was employed to Jamaica Private Power Company.
His younger half brother, who is from Kellits in Clarendon, joined him in Kingston about a year ago.
It is said that Akeem returned from work on July 4 and saw the accused with some of his belongings.
Both men became involved in an argument, during which the accused allegedly stabbed Akeem several times in the upper body.
Akeem ran from the house and collapsed on the roadway. Residents took him to hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
He leaves three children behind.
Triston has been charged with murder.
