VIDEO: Dalton gets massive crowd support with Whitney’s song

Jamaican native Dalton Harris whipped a huge crowd into a frenzy and got a standing ovation from all four judges on the X Factor UK today (October 27) following his rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing.

Chief judge, Simon Cowell, told the Jamaican: “I remember few occasions on this show when certain artistes had their moment and could change their lives; that might be that moment. That was seriously amazing…”

Louis Tomlinson, who coaches Dalton and other members of The Boys group, declared: “As far as I am concerned, you are in your own league vocally in this competition… You’ve raised the bar every single week.”

Tomlinson said it is almost entertaining to give Dalton a bigger challenge each week, adding: “I have not heard a reaction like this in this room; that’s huge; that’s huge, Dalton.”

Meanwhile, Ayda Field told the former Digicel Rising Stars champion: “…You are a star; you take on a Whitney and you leave nothing behind. Dalton, you are mega!”

There are 14 contestants remaining in the competition. The results of public voting will determine the next contestant to be eliminated.
