UPDATE: Man found injured in hospital after being reported missing

A St Catherine family, which spent days in a quandary, is now breathing a sigh of relief.

Its loved one, 39-year-old Wytcliffe Kelly, who was reported missing, has been located at St Ann’s Bay Hospital in St Ann. He is from the Above Rocks area of St Catherine.

One of his relatives, Sadiq Gowe, this afternoon told The Beacon that he spoke with Kelly via telephone.

He added that the family was yet to reach the hospital to ascertain more information.

Kelly, however, is said to have various injuries. It also appears he had been unconscious.

The Beacon, earlier today, reported that Kelly was missing since last week Friday, August 9.

He was last seen in the Ewarton area of St Catherine, and was destined for St Ann where he would have collected monies owed to him. Kelly also intended to visit relatives in St Ann and St Mary, but it now appears those visits were not made.

Kelly, who usually sells clothes and other items in a motor car, was travelling on a borrowed motorcycle at the time he disappeared.

Shortly after The Beacon today published a story about the disappearance, a reader provided information that she saw a man resembling Kelly being brought into St Ann’s Bay Hospital yesterday.

The family subsequently made checks at the medical facility and Kelly was found there.
