St Elizabeth farmers arrested for cocaine in ClarendonMarch 27, 2019
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said its Narcotics Division arrested and charged two men in connection with the seizure of approximately two kilograms of cocaine at Rocky Point in Clarendon yesterday, March 26.
The accused are farmers 30-year-old Dwayne Thomas from Warminster district and 32-year-old Andrew Prince from Content – both in St Elizabeth.
They are charged with:
- Possession of cocaine
- Dealing in cocaine
- Trafficking cocaine
The JCF said: “Reports are that, about 10:40AM, the team was conducting an operation in the area during which a Toyota Corolla motor car was intercepted and searched. The search yielded two rectangular parcels with cocaine.
“Thomas and Prince were arrested; the vehicle and the drugs were seized. The illegal drug has an estimated street value of JA$2.2 million,” the JCF further said.
It stated that the men are to appear before the Clarendon Parish Court on Thursday, April 4.
