ST CATHERINE: Riversdale, Cheesefield take early lead in clash

Riversdale and Cheesefield Football Clubs are leading their respective zones in the North-East St Catherine Corner League being hosted by Member of Parliament Leslie Campbell.

Four teams will advance to the next round from each of the two zones.

In the Cheesefield Zone, Cheesefield is the only squad to have won all of the matches it played so far. It is now leading with six points from two clashes.

The other top teams in the zone so far are Redwood (5 points from three matches), and Treadways (4 points from two matches).

Meuse and Bonnet are in early trouble, losing the two matches they each played.

Meanwhile, in the Riversdale Zone, Riversdale Football Club is on a roll, winning all three of the matches it already played. It’s now on 9 points.

Crawle and Morris Hall are also showing significant strength, having won the two matches they each played. They are both on 6 points apiece, but Crawle is slightly ahead based on goal difference.

Three teams from the zone are yet to score a point, having lost the two matches they each contested so far. They are Mount Industry, Berwick, and Gobay.

League action will continue on Sunday, November 17.
