The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said 25-year-old barber Javaughn Davis from Monza in Greater Portmore, St Catherine, is suspected to have committed suicide at his home on Saturday, February 16.

It added: “Reports from the Portmore Police are that, about 10am, a relative stumbled upon his body and alerted them. On their arrival, he was seen in a room hanging from the grille by a piece of cord that was tied to his neck. The scene was processed and he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.”

Investigations are continuing, added the JCF.
