PHOTOS OF THE DAY: Lluidas Vale school celebrates Boys’ DayNovember 27, 2018
Amid the fun and frolic that were part of their annual Boy’s Day activities last Friday, November 23, male students of Lluidas Vale Primary School in St Catherine were urged to press towards their goals despite their status quo and the lurking forces of demotivation.
Economist and past student of the institution, Carey Anderson, implored the boys: “Believe in your dreams and don’t let anyone – not even your parents; not even your friends – kill your dreams.”
Anderson, who was among motivational speakers at the event, also underscored the significance of hard work.
“It’s not where you are now; you can aspire to be anything you want to be,” he further told the boys. “The sky is no longer the limit; we operate outside the sky now. Continue to work hard and continue to strive for excellence.”
The boys, who were offered white T-Shirts with the name of their school and the occasion printed in blue, were also treated to entertainment and food. Past-students Kayon Page and Carey Anderson sponsored lunch.
The boys were also presented with medals for participating in a six-a-side football competition.
