Penalty saved | Pennington beat Police 3-0 in Lluidas Vale league

September 12, 2018 0 By Horace Mills

Pennington was leading 1-0 when its goalkeeper, Rajan Wright, made a forward leap to save a penalty Sunday afternoon during the Lluidas Vale Corner League in St Catherine.

Romand Boothe of the losing Police team missed the penalty while Nathan Bariffe missed the rebound.

Meanwhile, for the Pennington team, the scorers were Lemard Neil in the ninth minute, Duwayne Lewin in the 31st, and Jermaine Webb in the 65th minute.

We consider Pennington’s goalkeeper, Wright, to be ‘Beacon of the Match’ not only because he saved the Police penalty kick. He also made other significant saves that, if scored, would have put Police in the lead.

This is Pennington’s second straight win, having beaten Water Mount in their first match.
