The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man, whose body was found yesterday (July 29) on an open lot at Hope Road, St Andrew.

It is in an early stage of decomposition, and has bruises and a wound to the head, said the JCF.

“The body is of dark complexion, medium build, about 168 centimetres (5 feet 6 inches) long, appears to be in its mid-thirties and sports an unkept hairstyle. It was clad in a black Polo shirt, khaki pants and dark coloured socks.”

The JCF further stated that reports from the Half Way Tree Police are that, about 11:20am, residents saw the body and called them.

“On arrival of the lawmen, the body that is in the early stage of decomposition was seen with bruises and a wound to the head. The scene was processed and it was removed to the morgue pending post mortem examination.”

“The police are asking anyone who may be able to assist in identifying the body to contact the Half Way Tree Criminal Investigations Branch at 876-926-8184, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station,” added the JCF.
