The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said its St Andrew South Criminal Investigation Branch wants the public’s help in identifying a man whose body was found along Wellworth Avenue in Kingston 11 yesterday, July 3.

The JCF said: “The body, which appears to be in its mid twenties, is of brown complexion, slim build and about 170 centimetres (5ft 7 inches) long.

“It was clad in red T-shirt, black pants and a pair of black shoes. It has two tattoos on the chest – one with the name ‘Sophia’ and the other a cross,” the JCF further said.

It stated that reports from the Hunts Bay police are that, about 10:20pm, residents heard explosions and called the cops.

“On their arrival, the body, which has multiple gunshot wounds, was seen lying [along] the roadway. It was removed to the morgue for identification and post mortem,” added the JCF.

“Anyone with information that can assist with this investigation is being asked to contact the Hunts Bay CIB at 923-7111, Crime Stop at 311, police emergency 119 number or the nearest police station.”
