The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said its Fraud Squad is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a woman who is wanted for several crimes stemming from her allegedly posing as a medical doctor in western Jamaica.

She has been identified as Alicia Patrice England, who is known to call herself England McCrane or Dr McCrane.

She is wanted for breaches of the Medical Act and the Larceny Act, the JCF said.

It continued: “In one case now under investigation by the Fraud Squad, England is alleged to have treated a 2-year-old patient, fraudulently wrote prescriptions, and collected hundreds of thousands of dollars as payment.

“Several persons in St James are believed to have been a victim of the woman’s scam, and investigators say they suspect she has moved her operations to the corporate area,” the JCF further disclosed.

It said persons knowing the whereabouts of England should contact detectives at the Fraud Squad by calling 876- 922-2374/948-5953, Crime Stop at 311 or 811.

The JCF, in the meantime, urged pharmacists to maintain vigilance and not to dispense medications prescribed by ‘Dr. England McCrane’.
