The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a man was shot dead yesterday (March 8) at Steer Town in St Ann, adding that the deceased is yet to be identified.
The body, which was found in the vicinity of a construction site in the said community, is of dark complexion, slim build, and is about 167 centimetres (5 feet 6) inches long.
The JCF said: “Reports from the St Ann’s Bay Police are that, about 9:30pm, residents heard explosions and alerted the police. On their arrival, the body was seen on the roadway with gunshot wounds. The crime scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue.”
The JCF further said anyone with pertinent information about the incident should contact the St Ann’s Bay Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) at 876-972-2209, police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
