Man shot dead found clutching gun

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said 36-year-old Jermaine Ferguson, otherwise called Bobby, was shot dead yesterday, January 24, at his home on Hudson Street in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland.

A firearm and one round of ammunition were seized in the incident, the JCF added.

It continued: “Reports are that, about 9:20pm, loud explosions were heard in the area by residents who summoned the police. On their arrival, Ferguson was seen with gunshot wounds and clutching a .38 revolver containing one .38 round of ammunition. He was taken to hospital where death was confirmed.”

Investigations are continuing, the JCF further said.
