Another barber from Lluidas Vale in St Catherine has been injured in a motor vehicle accident.
Reports reaching The Beacon are that Leon Davis, also known as Gold Teeth, was struck down by a reversing taxi a few hours after nightfall yesterday, December 17.
He, at the time, was on the compound of the gas station in Lluidas Vale.
An eyewitness said Davis folded over in pain after the vehicle knocked him down.
Sections of the taxi, which is operated by a resident of Lluidas Vale, have been damaged.
The driver however managed to take Davis to the hospital in the crashed vehicle. Davis was treated and released, but is to undergo further treatment.
The accident last evening comes six days after another Lluidas Vale barber, Donovan Rhule, was involved in a terrible crash on the main road between Top Hill and Lluidas Vale.
Rhule, who has undergone surgeries, is still in hospital. He suffered broken bones.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force said the bike Rhule was driving slammed into a car that had come to a stop. However, some of Rhule’s relatives have refuted that version of what happened, adding that the police did not collect a statement from Rhule before arriving at a conclusion about the cause of the crash.
