LINSTEAD: Taxi operator murdered

December 28, 2018 0 By Horace Mills

Gunmen fatally shot a taxi operator last evening (December 27) in the Bermady area of Treadways, Linstead, St Catherine.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said the deceased is Omar Anglin, 31, otherwise called Flour.

It explained that Anglin was at a shop with other persons when two gunmen alighted from a motor vehicle about 7:50pm.

“They opened fire, hitting Anglin several times,” added the JCF.

Sources in the community told The Beacon that Anglin was shot about nine times.

Amateur photos and videos captured at the scene show him lying on his back at the business establishment in a pool of blood. It appeared he was shot in the head.

The gunmen escaped.

Anglin, a father, is a past-student of McGrath High School in Linstead.
