Members of a family have told The Beacon that, based on a photo they have seen, the body found with gunshot wounds recently in Linstead, St Catherine, appears to be that of their loved one – Mark Andrew Pinnock.
A representative of the family sent our news team the above photo of Pinnock alive.
Pinnock, in the photo above, in fact, resembles the man shown in photos lying in a pool of blood on East Avenue in Linstead on February 11 – dressed in a white T-shirt and blue jeans pants, as well as green and black sneakers. The body was found moments after explosions were heard in the area.
When The Beacon contacted the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) this evening, it said the man found dead is still not identified.
The family, in the meantime, said it has been unable to locate Pinnock who was in the Linstead area at the time of the murder.
Pinnock was a ‘wonderful’ man who has six children and was born in Kingston on 24 February 1979, the family spokesperson said, adding that Pinnock was sent from the United States to Jamaica on 29 November 2018.
“I don’t know as to why he was in the Linstead area, but I wish he hadn’t been,” the family representative said. “Pinnock loved life, his family and always had a beaming smile on his handsome face.”
