LINSTEAD: Elderly shopkeeper murdered
December 19, 2018Detectives in the St Catherine North Police Division are probing the murder of an elderly man in the Banbury area of Linstead last night, December 18.
The deceased is 67-year-old Lascelles Pesso, a shopkeeper of the said district.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) told The Beacon: “Reports from the Linstead police are that, about 11:40pm on Tuesday, a team was called to the area of a community known as Lemon Ridge. Upon their arrival, Pesso was seen covered in blood with injuries consistent with a beating.”
Pesso was taken to hospital where he died while being treated, added the JCF.
