The funeral service almost ended on Sunday without reference to the person who murdered the flamboyant party promoter, Romario ‘Papa Moggler’ West, a resident of Point Hill in St Catherine.
Young clergyman, Romaine Richardson, was the one who, in closing prayer, called the killer to repentance.
“We pray that that person’s life will be turned around and everyday as they lie down Papa will come before them, and they would have seen the act that they have done,” Richardson told the gathering inside Duxes Seventh Day Adventist Church in Point Hill.
During his prayer, he also expressed hope that the people left mourning as a result of the murder will forgive the perpetrator.
“I pray that we will find it in our hearts to forgive whoever has done such an act, and they will live to see God’s work in due time.
“Father, we pray that wherever the person is at this time, that your holy spirit will commit such person,” the clergyman further said.
Twenty-four-year-old West, along with 20-year-old Daniel Jones, was found dead on the Barry main road in Guanabovale, St Catherine, on Sunday morning, July 22. Their bodies had gunshot wounds.
