Gun found on man shot dead in Kingston

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a police team that responded to a shooting murder on Texaco Lane in Bayshore Park, Harbour View, Kingston 17, yesterday, June 22, recovered a 9 millimetre pistol and 10 rounds of ammunition at the scene.

The deceased is 41-year-old Dennis McIntosh, otherwise called Schoolaz, of no fixed address.

The JCF said: “Reports from the Elletson Road Police are that, about 11PM, residents heard explosions and summoned them. Upon their arrival, McIntosh was seen lying on the roadway with gunshot wounds.

“During the processing of the scene, the firearm, along with seven rounds of ammunition, was removed from his waistband. The additional three rounds were removed from his pocket. His body was removed to the morgue pending post mortem,” the JCF added.

Investigations are continuing.
