Former mayor of St Ann’s Bay dies
July 27, 2018Former head of the St Ann Municipal Corporation Charles Anthony Tait, who also served as Mayor of St Ann’s Bay from 1998 to 2003, has died.
He passed away before daybreak today (July 27) after a period of illness, said Member of Parliament for St Ann North West Dr Dayton Campbell.
“Please offer prayers and support to his family,” added Dr Campbell in a social media post.
Mr Tait, who also was a member of the People’s National Party (PNP), served as Councillor for the Bamboo Division in St Ann North West.
The St Ann Municipal Corporation, in the meantime, expressed condolences to Mr Taite’s family.
“We extend heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, and pray for their continued strength in this their time of bereavement,” said the Corporation headed by Michael Belnavis of the Jamaica Labour Party.
