The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said two firearms were seized and three men fatally shot during a gun-clash with law enforcers yesterday (June 24) in Annotto Bay, St Mary.
The deceased are Andrew Davis otherwise called Bailo, Rohan Keys otherwise called Bankie, and Kamar Robinson.
According to the JCF, the incident happened about 2:45pm when a team of officers on duty in the area signalled a motorcar to stop.
It explained: “The driver of the vehicle complied and the occupants reportedly alighted from the motor vehicle and opened gunfire at the police. The police countered the attack and the three injured men were assisted to the hospital, where they died whilst being treated.”
“A Smith and Wesson pistol along with two rounds of ammunition, and a .44 Magnum pistol loaded with two rounds of ammunition were seized in the incident,” added the JCF.
The JCF noted that the Inspectorate of the Constabulary and the Independent Commission of Investigations are also investigating.
