The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said it is investigating the shooting death of two men and the injury of two others on Hayes main road in Clarendon last night, January 16.

The deceased are 33-year-old taxi operator Sheldon Bromfield otherwise called Chanda-Paul from Baptist Street in Hayes, and 53-year-old Bertnel Carney from Cornpiece district – also in Clarendon.

The JCF said: “Reports are that, about 11:25pm, Bromfield and Carney were among a group of persons at shop playing dominoes when a Nissan AD wagon drove up, two armed men alighted from the vehicle and opened gunfire hitting them.

“They were taken to the hospital where Bromfield and Carney were pronounced dead and the other two men admitted in serious but stable condition,” added the JCF.

It noted that investigations are continuing.
