Businessman charged for murder of lawyer
March 5, 2019The Constant Spring Police have arrested and charged a St Andrew businessman for the murder of 49-year-old attorney-at-law Gareth Forbes from Stilwell Road in St Andrew. Forbes is pictured above.
The accused is 30-year-old Kemar Marsden of Grosvenor Terrace, Kingston 8, said the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
Marsden has been charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.
Reports are that, on January 17, Forbes was found at his house with his hands and feet bound, lying in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds.
“Subsequent investigations unearthed evidence that implicated Marsden,” the JCF claimed.
It added that Marsden was arrested and later charged on Saturday, March 2, following an interview in the presence of his attorney.
Investigations are continuing.
